Meet Neil Goodman

Dr. Goodman completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He fulfilled his residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Goodman is also the coordinator/speaker for Health Recovery Program.

Meet Rashmi Juneja

Dr. Juneja attended Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India and is a board certified internal medicine specialist. She completed her residency at State University of New York at Buffalo in New York. She is highly trained and sub-specializes in cardiovascular diseases, GI, endocrinology, and women’s health. She has been practicing in West Michigan since 1999.

Meet Jessica Reed

Dr. Reed received her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Miami in Florida and then received her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in the Cayman Islands. She completed an internal medicine residency training program at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Following this, she moved back home to Michigan and currently works as a part time faculty at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Reed enjoys wakeboarding and spending time with her family and cats.

Meet Dennis Behler

Dennis Behler, PA, is a nationally certified Physician Assistant, with more than 10 years of experience in internal medicine and pain management. He received his undergraduate degree in health sciences from Grand Valley State University, and completed his Physician Assistant Masters degree at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Dennis is accepting new patients at our Big Rapids and Reed City practices.

Meet Alison Caffrey

Alison Caffrey, PA-C, earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Grand Valley State University and her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Central Michigan University.

Alison has extensive clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics, and orthopedics. Her background includes working in both outpatient and long-term care settings, where she focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. She has a strong interest in integrative medicine and emphasizes prevention, lifestyle, and wellness in her approach to patient care.

Alison believes in empowering patients through education, collaboration, and evidence-based treatment to help them achieve long-term health goals.

Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Alison enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, hiking, and cooking healthy new recipes in her free time.

Alison is currently seeing patients in our Grand Rapids office.

Meet Daniel Clevenger

Now accepting  new patients at Michigan Primary Care Partners, Big Rapids starting in February.

Michigan Primary Care Partners is pleased to welcome Daniel Clevenger, PA-C to our Big Rapids primary care team. Daniel completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Central Michigan University, where he represented CMU as a student at the MAPA Capitol Summit in 2024. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology, Health, and Society from the University of Michigan.

Daniel brings strong clinical experience in adult primary care through extensive rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health, cardiology, general surgery, and emergency medicine. His training includes managing chronic conditions, performing routine primary care procedures such as laceration repair, skin lesion removal, wound closures, and providing acute care for common illnesses. He also gained valuable experience with cardiac evaluations, including cardiac stress testing, and worked alongside specialists in managing complex medical conditions.

Before becoming a PA, Daniel worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where he developed a patient-centered approach and strong communication skills. 

Daniel is certified by the NCCPA and holds active Michigan licensure along with ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications. He is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Michigan Academy of Physician Associates.

In his free time, he enjoys running with his dog, Sonny, and reading science fiction. 

Originally from Owosso, Daniel is excited to join the Big Rapids community along with his wife and looks forward to caring for adult patients with a focus on accessible, evidence-based primary care.

Meet Sarah Geoghan

Sarah Geoghan, AGNP-C, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hope College and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Grand Valley State University. Sarah brings eight years of bedside nursing experience in adult intermediate and step-down care, both in the Grand Rapids area and across the country as a travel nurse. She has also served as a sexual assault nurse examiner. Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sarah is passionate about providing holistic, compassionate care and education to patients ranging from young adults to older generations.

Meet Dawn Giese

Dawn Giese, FNP, received her Associates in Nursing from Ferris State University and went on to complete her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing Education in addition to her Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Dawn has a wealth of healthcare experience, ranging from Public Health to cancer services, infection prevention, Walk-In care, and Occupational Medicine. Dawn holds the following certifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation and is a Certified Lactation Counselor and a TB instructor for the State of Michigan. She is a  member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and  the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Meet Katelyn Goff

Katelyn Goff, PA-C, earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Exercise Science from Central Michigan University.

Katelyn brings a strong clinical background to Michigan Primary Care Partners, with experience in vascular medicine, urology, and urgent care. This diverse experience has allowed her to develop a well-rounded understanding of both acute and chronic conditions, as well as the importance of patient education and preventive care.

She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and takes time to ensure her patients feel heard, informed, and empowered in their health decisions. Katelyn enjoys collaborating with patients to develop personalized care plans focused on long-term wellness and prevention.

Katelyn is currently seeing patients in our Grand Rapids office.

Alyssa Huebner, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 8 years of critical care nursing experience. Alyssa received her bachelor’s degree from Davenport University in Grand Rapids, MI, followed by her master’s degree from Carson-Newman University in Tennessee. Alyssa is passionate about women’s health and increasing the quality and accessibility of rural healthcare. The Stanwood native is excited to be back home serving the Big Rapids and Canadian Lakes communities. Alyssa is accepting new patients at our Big Rapids and Canadian Lakes offices!

Meet Kori Marvin

Kori Marvin is a certified Physician Assistant with nearly a decade of experience in primary and urgent care. A graduate of Central Michigan University’s Physician Assistant program, Kori provides comprehensive care to patients with a strong focus on prevention, wellness, and patient education.
Born and raised in Cadillac, Kori is proud to continue serving West Michigan communities close to home. He values building lasting relationships with his patients and believes in a team-based approach where patients take an active role in their health.

“My goal is to help people live healthier, fuller lives by offering the knowledge and support they need to stay well and manage illness effectively.”
When he’s not caring for patients, Kori enjoys spending time with his wife and children, as well as running, skiing, camping, and exploring Michigan’s great outdoors.

Meet Lisa Shoemaker

Lisa Shoemaker, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with decades of experience that ranges from specialized certification in Gerontology to Walk-In care, occupational health, oncology, inpatient psychiatric care, ER, medical-surgical care and quality and risk management. Lisa received her Master of Science – Leadership & Education, from Regis University in Denver, Colorado before obtaining her Master in Nursing Practice from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois. Lisa is certified in Basic Life Support, has served as a Professional Nurse Tutor, and has lead provider education for physicians, specialists, and other medical staff to improve systems that aid in quality and practice improvement.

Meet Nicole Urbon

Nicole Urbon, AGNP-C, is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of nursing experience in home health care, including acute care and the management of chronic diseases. Nicole obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Montcalm Community College, followed by her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Nursing from Spring Arbor University. She is certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Meet Ashley Goote

Ashley grew up in Mecosta County, where she spent her early years at Morley Stanwood Community Schools. She went on to complete her undergraduate and graduate education at Ferris State University where she acquired her Doctorate in Pharmacy, or PharmD degree. Ashley has worked as a Pharmacist since 2005, and became Pharmacy Manager at West Michigan Pharmacy when it opened in 2015. She has served as an American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor and has also taught an American Pharmacists Association Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certificate Training Program. Ashley lives in Big Rapids with her husband, Jonathan, daughter Hadley, and yellow Lab Sofia Dog. In her free time, she enjoys reading, travelling, and kayaking.

Emma Carte, RN, is a dedicated member of our Care Management team with 15 years of nursing experience. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Mid-Michigan Community College and her Bachelor’s in Nursing from Davenport University. Emma is committed to supporting patients through care coordination, resource connection, and education on both acute and chronic health conditions.
